Delightful pull-apart garlic bread using sourdough discard, featuring rich flavors and gooey mozzarella.
Ingredients

- 2 cups sourdough discard
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Combine sourdough discard, all-purpose flour, salt, sugar, and garlic powder in a mixing bowl.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes.
- Place the kneaded dough into a greased bowl and cover it with plastic wrap.
- Allow it to rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch the dough down gently and break it into 12 small pieces, shaping each into a ball.
- Mix melted butter and chopped parsley in a separate bowl.
- Dip each dough ball into the butter mixture, then place them in a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the balls.
- Cover and let it rise for an additional 30 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Notes
For a more intense garlic flavor, substitute garlic powder with minced fresh garlic. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
