- 2 cups sourdough discard
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
Instructions
- Combine the sourdough discard, flour, salt, sugar, and olive oil in a large bowl.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough back in the bowl and cover it with a damp towel for about an hour to rise.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and brush with melted butter; sprinkle garlic powder, parsley, and cheese if using.
- Cut the dough into strips, stack them, and cut again into smaller pieces.
- Arrange the pieces in a greased baking dish and let it rise for another 20 minutes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
