  1. Mix the sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar until well combined.
  2. Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a flour-dusted surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  4. Incorporate the shredded cheddar cheese into the dough, kneading gently until evenly distributed.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise for 4-6 hours until it doubles in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  7. Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan. Let it rise for another hour.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
