- Mix the sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a flour-dusted surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Incorporate the shredded cheddar cheese into the dough, kneading gently until evenly distributed.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise for 4-6 hours until it doubles in size.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Shape the dough into a loaf and place it in a greased loaf pan. Let it rise for another hour.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
