Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sprinkles
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Beat together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the sprinkles.
  8. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared pans.
  9. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let the cakes cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  11. Use an electric mixer to beat the cream cheese until smooth, then add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
  12. Fold in the whipped cream.
  13. Assemble the cake by placing one layer on a serving plate, spreading the cheesecake mixture on top, then adding the second cake layer.
  14. Frost the top and sides with whipped cream and sprinkle more sprinkles on top.
  15. Slice and serve.
