- 1 vanilla cake mix
- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 pint fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
- Prepare the batter by combining the vanilla cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water in a mixing bowl. Stir until just blended.
- Bake the cake according to package directions until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.
- Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until soft peaks form. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, whipping until stiff peaks form.
- Frost the cooled cake with the whipped cream using an offset spatula for a smooth finish.
- Decorate with sliced strawberries for red stripes and blueberries in the upper left corner.
- Chill the cake for at least 30 minutes before serving.
