Description

A delightful Chicken Kiev with a crispy exterior and a rich, buttery filling infused with garlic and herbs.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Blend the softened butter, garlic, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Pound each chicken breast between plastic wrap to 1/2 inch thickness.
  4. Scoop a tablespoon of the garlic herb butter mixture and place it in the center of each chicken breast; fold in sides and roll up tightly.
  5. Dredge the chicken rolls in flour, dip in beaten eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat; fry the rolls until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  7. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Serve hot, paired with a salad or side dish.

Notes

Ensure even thickness when pounding chicken for the best results. For extra flavors, feel free to add cheese or substitute herbs in the filling.
