- 1 cup phyllo dough, thawed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped mixed nuts (walnuts, pistachios, almonds)
- 1 cup honey
- 16 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine melted butter and phyllo dough in a mixing bowl, layering them in a greased springform pan.
- Layer 6-8 sheets of phyllo, brushing each with melted butter.
- Mix chopped nuts with half a cup of honey and sprinkle over phyllo layers.
- Whip together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then fold in sour cream.
- Pour cream cheese mixture over phyllo and nut layers.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until set with a slight wobble in the center.
- Cool to room temperature, then chill in the fridge for several hours or overnight.
Notes
Make-ahead tips: Can be prepared a day in advance. Avoid overmixing to prevent cracks during baking.
