- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, folding gently until just combined.
- Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar in another bowl until smooth.
- Scoop a tablespoon of cookie dough, flatten it, and place a teaspoon of the cream cheese mixture in the center.
- Wrap the cookie dough around the filling to form a ball.
- Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let the cookies cool slightly before drizzling with caramel sauce.
Notes
Chill the cookie dough for 30 minutes before baking for enhanced flavors. Freezes well; bake directly from frozen.
