  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 2 tablespoons browned butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease your baking pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter and sugar until combined.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl and fold gently into the banana mixture.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan, smoothing the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. For the glaze, melt the additional butter in a saucepan until golden brown.
  9. Stir in powdered sugar and milk until smooth, then drizzle over the cooled banana bars.
  10. Let the glaze set before cutting into squares and serving.
