Instructions

  1. Mix the sourdough starter, warm water, and sugar until well combined and bubbly.
  2. Add in the flour and salt, stirring until the dough starts to come together.
  3. Fold in the chopped rosemary and olive oil, mixing until fully incorporated.
  4. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 to 2 hours, or until it doubles in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  7. Punch down the dough gently to release trapped gas, then shape it into a round loaf.
  8. Let it rise on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper for another 30 minutes.
  9. Score the top of the loaf with a sharp knife, making shallow cuts.
  10. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
