Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 2 ounces Bourbon
  • 0.75 to 1 ounce Vanilla Syrup
  • 0.5 to 1 ounce Heavy Cream or Half-and-Half
  • 4 to 6 ounces Club Soda
  • Fresh Ice Cubes
  • Optional Garnishes: Whipped Cream, Maraschino Cherry, Orange Twist, Whole Vanilla Bean
  • Optional Bitters: Aromatic Bitters or Orange Bitters

Instructions

  1. Chill your glass and ingredients: Pop your highball or Collins glass in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Add ice to the glass: Fill your chilled glass with fresh ice.
  3. Measure the bourbon: Pour in 1.5 to 2 ounces of bourbon.
  4. Sweeten with vanilla: Add 0.75 to 1 ounce of vanilla syrup.
  5. Add cream: Pour in 0.5 to 1 ounce of heavy cream or half-and-half.
  6. Top with fizz: Slowly add 4-6 ounces of club soda.
  7. Gently stir: Use a bar spoon to stir the mixture gently.
