- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/2 cup cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine teriyaki sauce, salt, and pepper. Add chicken breasts and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook marinated chicken for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove chicken from skillet and let rest for a few minutes before slicing into thin strips.
- Lay a tortilla flat, add a layer of lettuce, sliced chicken, carrots, cucumber, and green onions. Sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
- Wrap the tortilla tightly and repeat with remaining tortillas.
- Cut each wrap in half diagonally and serve with extra teriyaki sauce if desired.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, use gluten-free soy sauce and rice paper wraps or gluten-free tortillas. Marinating the chicken overnight enhances flavor.
