- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until fully cooked, then drain excess fat.
- Mix in the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream, blending until smooth. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Layer the meat mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Top with a single layer of frozen tater tots.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until tater tots are golden brown.
- Remove from oven, sprinkle cheese on top, and return for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted.
Notes
For make-ahead convenience, assemble the casserole a day in advance and refrigerate. Bake longer if cooking from cold.
