Instructions

  1. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the barbecue sauce, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Coat the ribs with the sauce mixture.
  4. Place the ribs in the slow cooker, standing them up if necessary.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the ribs are tender.
  6. Optional: For a caramelized finish, broil the ribs in the oven for 5-10 minutes after cooking.
