Description
A creamy and cheesy dip that combines the flavors of a bacon cheeseburger with queso, perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound Ground Beef
- 6 slices Bacon
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 8 ounces Cream Cheese
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 packet Taco Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 bag Tortilla Chips
Instructions
- Cook the Bacon: In a large skillet over medium heat, fry the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels, leaving just a bit of grease in the skillet for added flavor.
- Brown the Beef: In the same skillet, add the ground beef to the rendered bacon grease. Sprinkle with taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Combine Cheese and Cream: Reduce the heat to low. Add the cream cheese, stirring until melted and smooth. Gradually mix in the shredded cheddar and mozzarella, pouring in the milk as you combine.
- Add Sour Cream: Fold in the sour cream, creating a creamy, luscious base. Adjust the milk for your desired dip consistency.
- Incorporate Bacon: Crumble the cooked bacon and mix it into the cheesy goodness, reserving some for garnish.
- Serve: Pour the queso dip into a serving bowl, garnish with extra bacon and serve warm alongside tortilla chips.
Notes
Make ahead by preparing the beef and cheese mixture a day in advance. Store in the fridge, then reheat before serving.
