- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
- Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.
- Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
- Add garlic powder and onion powder, then return the patties to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve hot with gravy over the patties.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use homemade beef broth.
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
