Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form into patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add sliced onions and cook until caramelized.
  4. Sprinkle flour over the onions and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  6. Add garlic powder and onion powder, then return the patties to the skillet. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  7. Serve hot with gravy over the patties.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or rice for a complete meal.
