- 1 lb corned beef, chopped
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained and squeezed dry
- 1 cup Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
- Oil for frying
- Dipping Sauce:
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp hot sauce
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Create the Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the chopped corned beef, drained sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, breadcrumbs, green onions, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and beaten egg. Make sure everything is mixed well.
- Form the Balls: Scoop approximately two tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a ball.
- Heat the Oil: In your deep fryer or heavy pan, heat the oil to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry Until Golden: Carefully place the balls in the hot oil in batches and fry for about 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix the Dipping Sauce: Prepare your dipping sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and salt.
- Serve Hot: Once golden, transfer the Reuben balls onto a plate lined with paper towels and serve warm with the dipping sauce.
