- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup raspberry jam
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a doughnut pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fill the doughnut pan with the batter, about 2/3 full.
- Use a piping bag to add a small amount of raspberry jam into the center of each doughnut.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack and dusting with powdered sugar.
Notes
- Make sure not to overmix the batter for a light and fluffy texture.
- Feel free to substitute the raspberry jam with your favorite fruit jam.
- These doughnuts are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days.
