Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
- 1 cup water
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the ground beef, uncooked rice, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and oregano in a large mixing bowl.
- Shape the mixture into medium-sized meatballs and place them in a prepared 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Whisk together the tomato sauce and water in a separate bowl, then pour over the meatballs.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
Notes
For added flavor, consider prepping the meatballs ahead of time and refrigerating them before baking. They can also be made in an air fryer for a crispier texture.
