  • 4 burger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, and pickles for toppings

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: In a large mixing bowl, combine the chicken breasts and pickle juice. Cover and refrigerate for at least one hour or overnight.
  2. Prepare for dredging: Remove the chicken from the pickle juice, pat dry, and whisk buttermilk with salt and pepper in another bowl.
  3. Coat the chicken: Dip each chicken breast in buttermilk, then dredge in the flour mixture with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Fry to perfection: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and fry each chicken breast for 6-8 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  5. Drain the chicken: Transfer fried chicken to paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  6. Assemble the sandwich: Layer fried chicken on buns and add toppings like lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Serve hot.

Notes
