- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup milk
- Red and black candy melts
- Mini chocolate chips
- Buttercream frosting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with liners.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the softened butter, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk to the dry ingredients and mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling them about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let the cupcakes cool completely before decorating.
- Frost the cooled cupcakes with buttercream frosting.
- Use red and black candy melts to create love bug faces and mini chocolate chips for eyes.
