- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup fresh blueberries
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice (for icing)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, melted butter, and egg.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, then gently fold in the blueberries and lemon zest.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently until smooth.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle and cut into strips, then roll each strip into a spiral.
- Place the rolls in a greased baking dish and let them rise for 20 minutes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- While baking, mix powdered sugar and lemon juice to create icing.
- Drizzle the icing over the warm rolls before serving.
Notes
- For best results, use fresh blueberries.
- These rolls can be made ahead and frozen before baking.
