Description

Deliciously cheesy, spicy pinwheels made with a flaky pastry, perfect for any gathering.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup jalapeños, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg (beaten with 1 tbsp of water) for egg wash

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the puff pastry until it’s approximately 1/8-inch thick.
  3. In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until well combined and creamy.
  4. Spread the jalapeño popper filling evenly over your rolled-out pastry.
  5. Carefully roll the pastry tightly into a log.
  6. Slice the log into 1-inch thick pinwheels.
  7. Arrange the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Brush the tops with egg wash.
  9. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.
  10. Serve warm and enjoy!
