Description

  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your chosen pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set the pasta aside.
  2. Melt the butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the garlic: Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 to 2 minutes until golden and fragrant.
  4. Combine the pasta: Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, mixing it with the garlic butter.
  5. Add reserved pasta water: If the pasta looks dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
  6. Incorporate cheese: Stir in grated Parmesan until it melts into the pasta. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve: Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

Make ahead by preparing garlic butter in advance. Also, consider adding protein or vegetables for customization.
