A simple yet elegant dish combining al dente pasta with rich garlic butter and freshly grated Parmesan.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz pasta (spaghetti or your choice)
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

- Melt the butter: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Sauté the garlic: Add minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for about 1 to 2 minutes until golden and fragrant.
- Combine the pasta: Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, mixing it with the garlic butter.
- Add reserved pasta water: If the pasta looks dry, add a splash of reserved pasta water.
- Incorporate cheese: Stir in grated Parmesan until it melts into the pasta. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve: Serve hot, garnished with parsley if desired.
