- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 pre-made pie crusts
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Gradually whisk in chicken broth and milk, cooking until the mixture thickens.
- Add shredded chicken and mixed vegetables to the sauce, stirring to combine.
- Place one pie crust in a pie dish and fill with the chicken mixture.
- Cover with the second pie crust, sealing the edges. Cut slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
- Let cool before freezing or serve immediately.
Notes
- These pot pies can be frozen before or after baking.
- To reheat, bake from frozen at 375°F (190°C) for about 45 minutes.
