- 9 Lasagna Noodles
- 1 Pound Ground Beef (or Italian Sausage)
- 2 Cups Marinara Sauce
- 1 Cup Ricotta Cheese
- 2 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1 Egg
- 1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
- 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
- Fresh Basil for Garnish (Optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef (or sausage) in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat and stir in the marinara sauce; let simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mix ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of your baking dish.
- Layer three noodles over the sauce, followed by 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, 1/3 of the mozzarella, and 1/3 of the meat sauce. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
- Let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil.
