Description

Ingredients

  • 9 Lasagna Noodles
  • 1 Pound Ground Beef (or Italian Sausage)
  • 2 Cups Marinara Sauce
  • 1 Cup Ricotta Cheese
  • 2 Cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Salt and Pepper to Taste
  • Fresh Basil for Garnish (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. Brown the ground beef (or sausage) in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain excess fat and stir in the marinara sauce; let simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Mix ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  5. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce on the bottom of your baking dish.
  6. Layer three noodles over the sauce, followed by 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, 1/3 of the mozzarella, and 1/3 of the meat sauce. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
  7. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
  9. Let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil.
