A comforting Crockpot casserole featuring layers of tender pierogies, smoky kielbasa, and creamy cheddar cheese, all cooked to perfection.
Ingredients

- 1 package frozen pierogies (about 16 oz)
- 1 lb kielbasa, sliced
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups sauerkraut (optional)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped chives or parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In your slow cooker, lay down half of the frozen pierogies across the bottom.
- Sprinkle half of the sliced kielbasa over the pierogies, followed by half of the chopped onion. If using sauerkraut, add it now.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar cheese on top.
- Repeat with the remaining pierogies, kielbasa, onion, and sauerkraut, then finish with a final layer of cheese.
- Pour the chicken broth over the top, season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for about 4 to 6 hours.
- Once ready, stir in the sour cream and garnish with chives or parsley.
Notes
For make-ahead, prep layers the night before and store in the refrigerator. You can also bake it in the oven if short on time.
