- 1 package of puff pastry (2 sheets)
- 8 oz sliced ham
- 8 oz sliced cheese (such as Swiss or cheddar)
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into squares or rectangles.
- Layer ham and cheese on half of the pastry pieces.
- Top with another piece of pastry and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg for a golden finish.
- Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Feel free to add herbs or spices for extra flavor.
- These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
