Description
A delightful blend of crunchy and tender beef strips coated in a spicy-sweet sauce, guaranteed to satisfy your cravings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500g Beef Strips (flank steak or sirloin)
- 1 Cup Cornstarch
- 2 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil
- 2 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Sweet Chili Sauce
- 1 Tablespoon Sriracha
- 1 Tablespoon Rice Vinegar
- 2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger, Minced
- Chopped Green Onions (for garnish)
- Sesame Seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef: Place the beef strips in a large bowl, coating them evenly with cornstarch. Shake off any excess cornstarch to avoid clumping.
- Heat the Oil: Pour the vegetable oil into a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Allow it to get hot, shimmering but not smoking.
- Fry the Beef: Carefully add the beef strips in batches, avoiding overcrowding the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Make the Sauce: In a separate bowl, whisk together soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and ginger.
- Transfer the crispy beef to a large bowl and pour the sauce over the top, tossing gently to coat every piece thoroughly.
- Serve the Crispy Chilli Beef hot, garnished with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
Notes
For added flavor, marinate the beef in soy sauce for an hour before coating with cornstarch. Try an air fryer for a healthier version.
