Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb chicken tenders
- 1 cup cornflakes (crushed)
- 2 eggs (whisked)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp Frank’s RedHot sauce
- 2 tbsp cold butter
Instructions
- Begin by crushing the cornflakes into fine crumbs using a food processor or a zip-top bag.
- In a bowl, season the chicken tenders with garlic powder, salt, smoked paprika, and black pepper.
- Dip each seasoned chicken tender into the whisked eggs, allowing excess to drip off, then press into the crushed cornflakes.
- For the air fryer: Preheat to 400°F (200°C) and arrange the tenders in a single layer, air frying for 10-12 minutes.
- For the oven: Preheat to 425°F (220°C), place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, and bake for 30 minutes.
- In a skillet over low heat, melt cold butter, then stir in honey and Frank’s RedHot sauce until smooth.
- Toss the cooked chicken tenders with the honey buffalo sauce or brush it on and serve immediately.
Notes
Ensure chicken is thawed and patted dry for best flavor absorption. You can experiment with different spices or herbs for added flavor.
