  • Author: Maria
  • Total Time: 45 minutes

Description

Whip up Cowboy Breakfast Sliders! Fluffy biscuits filled with sausage, egg, and cheese—perfect for feeding a hungry crowd in minutes

Ingredients

For the Slider Filling:

  • 1 package (12 count) Hawaiian Sweet Rolls or Slider Buns

  • ½ lb Breakfast Sausage

  • 6 large Eggs

  • 2 tablespoons Milk

  • 1 tablespoon Butter

  • 2 cups frozen Tater Tots, cooked according to package directions

  • 1 ½ cups shredded Cheddar Cheese

For the Garlic-Herb Butter Glaze:

  • ½ cup (1 stick) Unsalted Butter, melted

  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder

  • ½ teaspoon Onion Powder

  • 1 teaspoon Dried Parsley

  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Everything Bagel Seasoning (optional, for topping)

Instructions

Step 1: Cook the Sausage and Eggs
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with milk, salt, and pepper. In the same skillet (wiped clean or with a little butter), scramble the eggs until soft and cooked through.

Step 2: Prepare the Slider Base
Without separating the individual rolls, slice the entire sheet of rolls in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom “slab.” Place the bottom slab in a 9×13 inch baking dish or on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

Step 3: Layer the Fillings
Spread the cooked scrambled eggs evenly over the bottom layer of rolls. Next, layer the cooked breakfast sausage. Arrange the cooked tater tots in a single layer over the sausage. Finally, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

Step 4: Assemble and Secure
Place the top slab of rolls over the layered fillings to create a giant sandwich.

Step 5: Create the Flavorful Glaze
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, and Worcestershire sauce.

Step 6: Glaze and Bake
Using a pastry brush, generously brush the entire top of the sliders with the garlic-herb butter glaze, making sure to get it into all the cracks. Reserve a little glaze for after baking. If using, sprinkle the Everything Bagel Seasoning over the top. Cover the baking dish with foil.

Step 7: Bake to Perfection
Bake covered for 15 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, the sliders are heated through, and the tops are golden brown. Brush with the remaining butter glaze after baking for extra flavor and shine.

Step 8: Slice and Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes. Use a long, sharp knife to slice along the perforations into individual sliders. Serve immediately.
