Instructions
- Prepare the Marinade: In a large mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, cayenne, salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice.
- Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring each piece is coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
- Cook the Chicken: Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, cook the marinated chicken for approximately 5-7 minutes on each side until fully cooked.
- Rest and Slice: Remove the chicken from heat and let it rest for a few minutes, then slice into tender strips.
- Whip Up the Garlic Sauce: In a separate bowl, mix together yogurt, tahini, and minced garlic. Season with salt to taste.
- Assemble Your Shawarma: Warm pita bread, add sliced chicken, drizzle with garlic sauce, and top with fresh vegetables.
