Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon, mixing until just combined.
  4. Fold in the sliced apples and lemon juice, and walnuts if using.

  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
