A delicious garlic bread loaf stuffed with savory cheesesteak filling, perfect for a hearty snack or meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 large loaf of Italian bread
  • 1 lb ribeye steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup onions, sliced
  • 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
  • 4 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the onions and bell peppers, sautéing until softened.
  3. Add the sliced ribeye steak to the skillet, cooking until browned. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise and hollow out some of the bread from the center.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the remaining butter with minced garlic and spread it on the inside of the bread.
  6. Layer the steak and vegetable mixture into the hollowed-out bread, then top with shredded provolone cheese.
  7. Place the stuffed bread on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove from the oven, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add some Worcestershire sauce to the steak mixture.
  • Feel free to customize the vegetables based on your preference.
  • Serve with marinara sauce for dipping.
