Description
Delicious and customizable burger bowls featuring juicy ground beef, fresh vegetables, and your favorite toppings, all without the bun.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb Ground Beef (or choice of meat)
- 4 cups Mixed Greens (romaine, spinach, or spring mix)
- 1 cup Tomatoes, sliced
- 1 cup Pickles, sliced
- 1/2 cup Red Onions, sliced
- 1 Avocado, diced
- 1 cup Shredded Cheese (cheddar, feta, or blue cheese)
- 1/4 cup Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Mustard
- 1/4 cup Mayonnaise
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the Ground Meat: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add your chosen ground beef. Season with salt, pepper, and your favorite spices (garlic powder, smoked paprika, and onion powder). Cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6-8 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.
- Prepare the Base: While the meat cooks, wash and chop your greens. Create a neat bed of mixed greens at the bottom of your serving bowls.
- Chop Fresh Veggies: Slice up your tomatoes, pickles, and onions, arranging them beautifully over your greens.
- Add Cheese: Sprinkle your choice of shredded cheese generously over the still-warm ground meat to let it melt slightly.
- Drizzle the Sauce: Top it all off with your prepared sauce—be generous to tie all the flavors together.
- Final Touches: Add any extras, like avocado or bacon, for richness.
Notes
You can prepare the ground meat up to two days in advance. Store it in an airtight container in the fridge, and simply reheat when it’s time to serve.
