- 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
- Combine the shredded chicken with the buffalo sauce and mozzarella in a large bowl.
- Shape the mixture into sticks, about 3 inches long.
- Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken stick in flour, dip in egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to about 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with additional buffalo sauce.
Notes
Chill the sticks before frying to maintain their shape. Baked or air-fried versions can be made for a healthier option.
