Description

Deliciously warm scones made with ripe bananas, oats, and chocolate chips, perfect for breakfast or an afternoon snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract in a large bowl, stirring until well mixed.
  3. Whisk together the rolled oats, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the mini chocolate chips carefully.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each scone.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden on top.
  8. Mix powdered sugar with milk for glaze and drizzle over cooled scones.
