- 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced beef and cook until browned. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onions and garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Add mushrooms and cook until softened.
- Return the beef to the skillet, then add beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Stir in sour cream and heat through, but do not boil.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve over egg noodles or rice, garnished with fresh parsley.

- For a richer flavor, use a combination of beef broth and red wine.
