- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Core the apples and place them in a baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix together oats, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter until crumbly.
- Stuff the mixture into the cored apples.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the apples are tender.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired.

- Use tart apples like Granny Smith for a balanced flavor.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less brown sugar.
